When you talk about heat guns to remove side strips, what exaclty do you mean? where can i get one from and roughly how much do they cost? cheers.

luk like a big hair dryer to be honnest, except the end is made of metal. b&q etc

they will be in the section by the power tools, i.e drills and sanders etc (no not the ste kind :p)

sorry Breeny, you can get them from B&Q or somewhere like that. As Mike says, they in principal they are just a hair dryer, but they get a hell of alot hotter. You can pick on eup for about ?20 ish.

Be careful with a heat gun though.....as their main use if for removing paint, and do so very easily :O

A hair dryer produces a heck of a lot of heat...should be enough to remove the vinyl no probs (it helped me remove my old re-spray!), without as much risk of damaging your paint.
