Just nosing ebay for some cheap tyres to stick on the back of my Celica til I get some new wheels, so only as a temporary measure.

Options are either Uniroyal Rainsport; Falken FK451, Pirelli P700-Z or Firestone Firehawk SZ40

Anyone have any experience/advice on the above?

lmfao the pirellis on the back currently are pretty shagged and making it much fun to drive at the moment

its disturbing that you have to look out the passenger window to see where you're going on roundabouts

I've got uniroyal rainsports on the Nova at the mo and they have been a damn good tyre, they are also very good in the wet and appear to be hard wearing.

I have Falken FK451's on my 306 GTI-6 and they seem to be a softer tyre and they do hang on very well. They are also quite cheap.

I reckon that the uniroyals are better in the wet and are probably a better all round tyre. However I have have zero complaints about the Falken's as well. So out of those two I would just go for the cheapest. Or if you want the better tyre go for the rainsports.

As for the others, I haven't driven on them so cannot comment.
