Sadly my Nova Is now parked in the big carpark in the sky!! So I Thouhgt I'd get a different car..............

These things don't stop running, the engine was older then me!! I'm going to have to resurrect one!
How much should I pay for a mint condition one (if such a thing exists) im not bothered about engine size..............just want a Nova back  :(
its not how much will you get one for.=, its how much your looking to pay for one matey!
Find a minty non rusted one though, as bad weather and nova's = lots of rust + big accidents if your speeding! :?
if you have any pics I could make a model of your nova - an wee reminder of your beloved motor!
PM me for info
how much do the new one's cost fella?

I can sympathise with ya. I havent driven my GSi for almost 2 years, Ive had a Cav GSI & 2 Astra GTE 16v's in the mean time but they just seem jinxed (XE's) so I bought an ebay Nova for ?260. Its got 12 mnths MOT & so far Ive bought a 60mm lowering kit from ebay (?17) & Ive fitted a GTE 16v leather steering wheel. The std one hurt my hands.
I'm happy as Larry in my new Nova, its a shame that the new shell is better than my GSi. Looks like Ive bought the shell of my next project.
I love not driving novas anymore, warm in winter and cool in summer, no worrying about welding at mot time, joyus.
I drove a 1.2 corsa the other day, and Oh my god it is far a hell of a lot comfier than the nova...
i miss mine too, just not the XE handling. especially now ive driven other cars, (scoob, s13 200sx that i own now, and my 1.1 fiesta turns in better too lol)
lol you can have mine for 3k
Theres something about nova's thats oh so right dunno what it is, aint got a clue
Don't really miss mine that much tbh. Can't think why
I have had lots of different Vauxhalls over the past few years, but I keep going back to Novas.
I am meant to be buying a sensible car (S3) in a month, but might just get something else!

as far as i was concered i never wanted one, i started with a seat ibiza 1,4 insurance ripped me of2 months later so i quite them, decided to get a suzuki baleno 98 hatch, great car alot faster than i was used to with the seat and very modern leccy every where and stuff never dreamed of getting a nova, car broke, found a nova FELL IN LOVE WITH ITits jus so, , , erm ,,,, well,,,, its a nova, until you drive one you dont realise how addictive they are, they are so small and basic its just you and quite a bit of speed, and great handling, very cheap for parts my suzuki was gonna cost 550 for a new gearbox this nova would cost me 90,
also i found me mates with fully modded cars like 106s , , all say they want a nova now, its just a little beast
LONG LIVE THE NOVA,
and great handling
Are we still talking about the Nova here?
Personally I'd take the 106 over a Nova... in standard or lightly modified form anyway.
for the overall DIY modiying and ease of repairs, nova's are just great!
great fun to drive as well and bigger engined (1.4/1.6) have a surprising turn of speed aswell.
There like go karts. strip one out and there sooooooo much fun to drive about! like a mini rally car of my own! i love 'em :+:
