Hi. I'm into my Corsas so I dont have much knowledge when it comes to Nova engines but basically I'm wondering what the difference is between the 1.3L engine and 1.3 SR engine? Spotted a MK1 Nova with low miles, 1 owner from new etc. but its a 1.3L and I was after a 1.3 SR really just for a winter run about to keep my Corsa off the road, finding it hard to find a low mileage, cheap SR in half decent condition!!!

So whats the difference engine wise? Is it easy and cheap enough to get the parts to make a 1.3L into an SR engine?

I had a quick look through the FAQs and didn't see anything so sorry if this is a common question!

Thanks!

I think both engines are the same.
Its only the "sporty" extras that make a Sr, a SR.

1.3L are usually mk1 5drs. Im sure they have the same engine as the 1300SR.

they are the same, the L and SR are basically just trim levels
