I have an Astra 8v gte digi-dash althouh I do not have any plugs to go into the back of it, I can get a 16 valve plug for the back of my 8v one but I am unsure if they are inter-changable,

I have been told that If I have a 16v plug then I will have incorrect readings on the clocks, but I am unsure whether this is true or not so any help is very much appreciated.

its not the plugs that will give you a incorrect reading

its the speed sensor , you need the sensor from your dash

So I can use the 16valve plugs and all will be okay? Will there be an issue with the rev readings?

thanks much appreciated

no you can yse the plugs and youll have no prob with the rev counter

but as said it has to be the right transducer or your speed will be fooked

The plugs on the 16v and 8v dash are both the same mate and for the transducer if you aint got one you can use the speed sender from a mk2 1.2i thats what i used in mine and it was cock on speed wise!!!!
