Will V6 calipers and 288mm discs fit under Astra GTE wheels?
They dont fit under 14" wheels.
Are the wheels 14"?
IIRC they just about squeeze under 15s.

yes i think so..or you could try 3 or 5mm spacers??
they will be fine with the right offset, wont need spacers, but the wheel weights might catch if they are stuck on ones on certain wheels

Ok, the wheels going on are off of a newer astra, so i know they will be correct offset...
Can i take the wheel weights off? im not even sure if these wheels have them.
it is very rare that a wheel wouldnt have wheel weight, you can ask for hammered ones to be put on but the look crap. If the wheel weights do catch jjust leave them, they are only lead so wont take long to wear away (thats what I did)

they do fit under 15's without hitting wheel weights, but you may have problems with the caliper catching the back of the spokes.

No, you can still be driving fast in a 1.2, just takes longer to get there.
So good brakes still give good benefits.
Mitchy-The 16v brakes fit under 5.5J 14s, which the astra gte wheels should be seeing as 16v brakes were fitted to astra gte's :)

I appreciate what you're saying, but as has been said, improving your braking can only be a good thing, irrespective of the power of the car.
