View Full Version : why nova
ive just passed my test and can insure a 1.2 lump and a small amount of cash per month for modding but do i get a nova or a corsa :-/ can you guys/girls tell me why the nova you all love is so brilliant and why i should not (or should) buy a corsa.
coz the corsa is utter shite and has no personality! The corsa looks like a turtle - looks like every other car on the road and unless done properly looks kak when modded.
A nova however is a classic. One of the 1st hot hatches to hit the streets in the 80's - setting trends that still last today. Novas stand out because there arent as many about - they go on for ever, are simple to mod, maintain and on average most bits from other cars can be salvaged and modded to fit a nova (a mondeo spoiler for example!) Its cheap, fun, original has a huge following and looks better than the corsa! When modded properly can still hold its own in looks with most modern hot hatches + you can pick one up for a fraction of the cost of a corsa. Get a nova - if u look after it you will be in posession of a classic car (been around for almost 20 yrs!)
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotamy!

nova- easier to modify, much more stylish and can be more individually modified, most parts from other cars suit the nova well ie mondeo estate spoilers, new engines r cheap and bodykits dont set u back a fortune. Corsa arnt not a bad car but can be expensive to buy and modify. hope this helps!

corsas r bulky whereas the nova is nice and light. far more goodies around for the nova, more technical advice availible, parts are dirt cheap. u could get a k-reg nova for ?600 which is in good condition but most corsas dont go for under a grand.
DUFFMAN CANT BREATHE........OOOOOOHHHHHH NOOOOO!

Nova is more modern looking...look at modern car design.....lots of straight lines and squared off edges......the Corsa is 90's old hat blobby-style lol
That's my argument anyway :D
P.S. Buy the latest Total Vauxhall mag and read the article about the Nova Sport, and the history of the Nova in motorsport.
Then, try and find a similar history for the Corsa.....you won't 'cos it's heavy and crap for racing lol
