ive got 2 doors,2 wings and a bonnet to spray. Is it worth the money gettin it properly done rather than just using a spray can. i was told that using a spray can, can actually do a goood job n look quite good....im not sure. Can anyone help??

it depends if u can get the right colour for your bits to exactly match the car- and think of it this way. would you rather pay a little bit extra and have a top job or pay next to nothing and have a bit of a naff job! thats how i look at it neway-but the spray can is always an option so kp your ears open to new ideas!

using spray cans can deliver good results but theres shit loads of prep and work between coats and you;ll go through lots of cans. Bonnet is a high impact area (stones, dirt etc) so if not done properly will fuck up quick. You've also got to contend with current colour of remaining body (has it faded, dirty etc) U can use cans but like nova-gurl says if u dont get exact match will look naff. Body shop will get exact match but as its new paint will probably still stand out a mile till it waethers in. Wht not pay them to do the whole car? Youre half way there already and they'll probably advise to get it done anyway! All they do it rough up existing paintwork and spray remaining panels with the new ones - quick and easier + will blend better. I'm doing mine meself - saving some ?800! :D

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotamy!

but I've got all the kit - just need a decent double garage and an extractor fan (mums kitched oven hood should do :P)
