hi guys,
Just looking for some tips on the best way to change the water pump and timing belt on my nova. Only ever changed them on a car where there is plenty of space lol

take the engine out probably the easiest, give you more room to play
not done this myself either,
but have been told that you will need to lower the drivers side mounts and slide it out that way.
or just take the engine out as already said.
As said on MIG just need to unbolt the front engine mount & lower the engine down a bit, still a bit of a squeeze but do-able, no need to take the engine out !

ahh, take the engine out anyway and get a tin of engine cleaner on it, that way it'll look a bit nicer when it's all done!
they can be done in situ, but are a pain and require some specially bent spanners lol

Sounds a right bastard :o glad i have a small block, takes more time to put the car on the ramp than changing the belt
as i said on mig too,
lower the engine down and bit...gives more room,
