I would mount them to the rear belt floor mountings mate, i wouldn't risk my life attaching harnesses to a piece of tube bolted to the dampers.

As far as I know you don't need special harnesses, you just take out the mountings that are supplyed and just attach them like this.
However don't do it if you only have one of the bolt on rear strut braces, only do it if you have it welded in. Like in this picture.

if you have a bolt in rear strur brace dont mount your harnesses on that but if it is welded then go for it as its at a better angle than the rear seat belt mounts

yer if you aint got the strut brace welded in then just bolt them to the rear seat belt point which is where iv got mine for the time being, then next year im changing it to a caged and braced beast :D

I aint bolted mine to the brace as in the event of a head on crash, would like to multiply your body mass by three then hope that your srtut brace takes that amount of force?

Didnt think so  :|

Always thought you were alright using the rear strut brace to attach your harnesses to if its bolted to the shell as long as you aren't bolting to the tops of the dampers

thus your ok if its bolted like bens on link

If its bolted in like that and its good and solid then I don't see a problem. As LAST OF THE NOVA SR'S has pointed out it needs to be able to take alot of force. I know that I could pick my car up by the rear strut brace.
