right i currently have an sr on twin 40's and have bought a manifold to fit my sri head i am looking to put a cam pulleys ect to the engine while its off the road for winter but next year i was hoping to put the 1.6 engine in. someone has said the gte and sri heads are the same so would the sri head fit on a gte bottom end. just wanted to know before i blow a load of money on it.
cheers neil.
yes it will fit and the valves "should" be the same size ;)
if you want to be really pedantic abput things you'd measure the combustion chambe to work out what the CR will be on the 1.6 but to be honest i dont think it would effect your needs that much......
also only one cam pulley ;) lol oh and jsut get the std one modified to be adjustable.

use the whole 1.6 engine then polish and port the head 32/34 carb and a 285 cam or use twin 40's then u'll have roughly 145-165bhp to play with 8)
LMAO intresting figures there for the pish advice.
