Hi all,

Seen this on ebay - my curiosity got the better of me - a superchipped bosch airflow meter????

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8009349954&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT&rd=1

Now even with my limited engine knowledge - a superchipped Air flow meter? Is this for real? (please dont flame me! lol)

cheers,

Adam. :)

Well this belongs to a mate of mine and supposedly the theory behind it is that the ECU controls the starting of the engine and once the engine is running the airflow meter controls the fuelling accordin to the amount of air being taken in and this i think tells it to fuel differently, it did seem to make a difference to his car but i dont no if it was one of those things where it seems faster because ure thinkin its going to!!!!
Ive not driven his nov but it did seem to make a difference from a passenger point of view!!

they were pikey and fitted the ECU into the AFM. thats all.

so its a chipped ECU that happens to be part of the AFM.

Ok........... Im lost

Because my ECU is a little black box wrapped around my strut brace! lol

So, are you saying the car would have 2 ecu's - I sound silly now dont i?

Ah well,

might make a bit then - always good to have a spare AFM anyways :D
