Ok - I am wanting to put a fibreglass boot on my 3dr hatch, but the only ones I've seen so far have been mounted on 4 bonnet pins.

I wondered if it was possible to fit one using the standard hinges and lock?

(Security wise bonnet pins just won't cut it!!!)

Also is there any way of locking the sliders on the front polycarb windows?

(I want to go lightweight - but without getting the car stolen!)

Just spoke to Demon Tweeks, who said the sliders CANT be locked!!!

BUGGER!

?180 for clear, ?200 for smoked - all windows - not bad really!

?29 for the slider kits per side.

Might just fit the rear windows and leave the front two standard.

or get front polywindows that you can use with your window winders etc ;)

still be lighter than glass

and scratch the living daylights out of the polycarb lol.

the pins are far from lockable either. you can punch the windo, the pin will drop out and hey presto your in ;)

if you want to go light you need to make some sacrifices/compromises.

jsut do what dan did and make poly carb 1/4 lights for the fronts and kept the real glass for window use. polycarbed the rears.

Good idea Stuart.

Where do you reckon I could get the Polycarb sheeting from (and how thick do you think it should be - 5mm?)

4mm if you using the std seals. (can go thinner with silicone lol but i really dont recomend it)
