right i've finally got the pissing steering wheel off my car, but now the steering columns knakered, the threads at the top of the column are screwed. Is there any way i can repair the column in the car, or should i take it out and replace it.

iff i have to replace it, how easy are these things to remove?

cheers mike

piece of piss to swap out.... 4 bolts (one is a security one but thats easy to overcome).

you can swap the central part of teh column, but its a bit tricky as you need to avoid damaging the bearings
