Mate , this has to be one of the most argued and deliberated questions amongst all car owners - which cd player is best ??

For me personally , I just like to hear tunes that dont jump too often ( it helps if you dont live in the Lunar landscape of Bedford ) , kicks enough if your gonna run basic , has sub points at the rear , and doesnt cost a packet. The horrible truth with stereos , is that theyre still nickable...so ...

I,m running a basic ?79 JVC unit ( check ebay there were a few for ?50 ) it pumps 45 watts per channel x 4( more like a feeble 25 in real terms ) and have had no problems . I wasnt too happy with the power output as I,m running a sub , so for ease- this is so simple and fast, I brought a sony amp - plugs straight in , no hard wiring to the battery and it runs in tandem with the head units power output , kicks 220watts total - so in reality the output is thus 45x4 + 55x4= 400w I,d say at a rough guess 250ish watts total in real terms. This little lot cost ?100 in total , stereo and amp.
For me its more than enough , most who get in the car say its too much .....

Its worth considering for the cost ...

good luck.

ebay have the basic jvc as I earlier described ... : KDS71R RDS item number 5821721168......I would pop into halfrauds as well - they sometime give this unit away at silly prices

there arent any sony amps as I,ve also previously described ...worth keepin an eye out for - if your interested....
