I quite like the look of the SR window surrounds, is there any benefits of having this surround?-or is it to make the car only look a bit better?-how easy are they to fit?

it just fits under the rubber seal and makes it look a lot nicer

The rear windows are easy to do, BUT, the door windows are a right pain!
You will need ALL new window rubber, including the piece around the quarter-lights, and the glass runners.
The front window surround trim, is also a little tricky to remove (if sourcing from a scrapper).
The best way is to use a wide chisel, and very gently tap if off of the car.
It's very fragile, and easy to bend.
Fitting on your car is also a little tricky, as again, it bends easily.
I did it on my Antibes (see Richard Dales' Antibes), and it made a huge difference.
Another thing to be careful of though.......does yours have black b-pillars?
If it does as standard, and you fit the SR/GTE surround, the black vinyl does not line up, as the top and bottom lines are higher, when you have the SR/GTE trim fitted.
You can remove your old vinyl, and get the required larger pieces from a Vauxhall dealer.
The other thing is, without the SR/GTE trim, the vinyl is BLACK, but on SR/GTE/GSi models with the trim, its dark grey.
I took a cheap option, and used black fablon lol!
