I finally decided to take the dash, heater matrix etc out of the car. So I made this little replacement dash. I still havent finished the wiring. Just thought I would post up a piccy. Im quite pleased with it.

looking good matey, how do you get the dials to stay in? big screws?

Thanks :D
Scott - I made it out of bits and bobs I had lying abround the garage. The front face is hardboard and the main thing is plastic. Grab me next time you see me on MSN and I will show you how it bolts on etc.

Benji - The dails are kinda wedged in at the mo. You cant see it too well in the piccy but the top part, where the dials go in has a lip. But yes I plan on big screws :P To be honest its quite firmly wedged in at the mo.

i like it, get rid of the standard clocks tho and fit a decent rev counter, and a push bike spedo, both much more accurate than the standard one

lol - I've ditched the second fuse holder and put in a cig lighter for my camera :) The second fuse holder was supposed to house all the fuses but I found a nice place for the origonal one.

The standard clocks will be history in the near future (hopefully) got my eye on getting one of these beuties. It will plug directly in to the MBE system 8)

Im still finding it difficult to justify to money for it though. If you add up all what it does then its cheap....but with the lowest model being ?680 + a few more sensors, its quite an outlay.

The next one up is ?1170 total and it will draw a map of the circuit for you as well. This is the one I should buy really.

That dose look nice and all mate, cool that it plugs straight into the MBE might have to chat to you about it if you get ne as i may even think of one my self if i ditch the dash and go for new clocks.

What bike speedo mate? as my mate who has a GSXR 1000 whent side by side me(on private road) and said his clocks wer reading 153mph but if you work out the rolling radias and the fact im using a F20 the top end should not get over 147mph..

I never thought of a bike speedo. Thats a damn good idea. I really need to ditch the standard clocks because they look hedious.

nooooooooooooooooo nonononononononono

you seem to have got the wrong end of the stick, just use a push bike spedo, bout 30 quid and you callibrate it by measuring the acctual wheels on your car,

my mate fitted the magnet to the inside one of the rear hubs, then fitted the sensor to the rear beam with a bracket he made up, never failed yet and its accurate to within 1mph, he checked it with an expensive speed trap
