gsi for gsi

im undecided wheather to scrap my gsi and buy a standad 1.mine has all the usual stuff but i put another engine as my old 1 had a badly skimmed head. then didnt do the bottom pulley up tight enough so it worked lose and came of so did the bottom cambelt roller so just gotta c if i've bent the valves or not.hope i havnt or its gsi to the scrap yard. :|

Why not just replace the engine/repair it instead of scrapping a whole car?

exactly......the valves are not that hard to change!

i may have been lucky and not bent any.the whole car has been thrashed tho.so may not bother with it

Dont beleve in scraping novas :o theres a garge down ma way owned by a father n son that race novas so i give them to him and if i need work done or any parts he helps me out :wink:

nah the black ones been thrashed like fook and im taking the 4-1 full cobra system poly bushes black insides front bumper digi dash and all the good bits off.then bye bye to another gsi.o well teach me for buying a car in a rush again.just had enough of it really.rather have reliablilty than super fast.

what the overall condition of the shell, i.e rust?

doors are dented rust on rear arches and doors and bottom of slam panel and front wings.been key down 1 side.been dehandled with the b pillar drilled for tvr push buttons.just gonna buy a base to do wot i want to it.just plain and simple gsi.

may have to keep the gsi now till i find a good K plate 1.4sr.
