Im currently running an XE with an f28 box, and ive been told that if i were to fit an f20 my acceleration would be a hell of a lot better with little or no difference top end, and are the shafts different on these two boxes???
Also can anyone let me know as to whether the gear linkages different between these boxes as ive been told they are?????
Cheers peeps!!!

As far as i know the gearing in the F28 is the same as the F20 but with an extra gear on top, so acceleration would be the same but you'd loose some off top end. (might be wrong?)
Shafts are the same.
You'll need to change the linkage, use a standard linkage (with the plastic bit at the box end flipped round) for the F20, as the one for the F28 will be to short.
You'll also need to change the front gearbox mount, rear mount should be ok.

There is more drag and far more weight from a F28 than a F20.

I think your mates trying to pull a fast one !!
F28's go for around ?250 - ?300, you can pick up an F20 for ?50 tops !!
