i hav a mk 1, 1litre engine and it is rapid how can i tell if it has been tuned the engine looks normal is there anything that will let me no if it has been messed wiv??? cheers

You are suer its a 1lt? hasnt had an engine swap cos seriously it wont be quick if it is what you say it is.

I very much doubt it would of been tuned at all, Its prolly a 1.2/1.3 or even a 1.4 engine which has been dropped in.

pmsl lol my 1.2 topd out at 100mph and thats supposed 2 be slightly tuned lol, it must be the gsi engine if its doin that quick or a highly tuned sr or sri engine :lol:

The only 1.0 and under engines are in class 1 which is minis, and now fiats and citroens.

I think the only answer to this is that you have AT LEAST 28 max power stickers covered all over your car.

Sleeved-down 1.2 with metro pistons, 1.6 head, 5 turbo carb, intercooler big enough to sleep in, iirc T28 turbo and with fixed (30degrees?) ignition was knocking 130 brake? At least thats the one dave walker tested in CCC a few years back.
