View Full Version : Installing new electrics??
Call me stupid, but can someone explain to me how you go about connecting new electric items (such as windows/alarms/c.locking) to the battery and the fuses??
Is it straightforward enough or do you have to take the dash board out.
I presume you dont need to mess with the original wiring loom or do you???

The haynes Maxpower Nova book shows some good ways to fit a 2nd fues box for all your extras might be a good idea to invest in that really straight forward with lots of pics
^^^i will probably get slated for this^^^
would i need to fit a 2nd fuse box for putting in electric windows and central locking???

I think i would be worth it if your fitting a few things.
to be fair if its gonna save a fook load of hassle do it that way.... splice into a feed to the fudebox and add a 2nd box.... and if the lax power guide shows you how to do it, then get it.. seen a few car fires because of poor wiring so tis worth it.
even if the windows and locks come with their loom??
Not sure I would know what I am doing adding a second fuse box

the electric window loom simply plugs into the original fuse box
