im not sure weather this should be in a differnt section, but...
this kid i was chattin to reckons he's goin to put a 2.0ltr engine in a old style mini???
i didn't think this would work? surley there isnt any room for a huge engine like that?
i just want to settle it weather it would work or not?

2lt 16v conversion is easy in a mini as is the honda b16a.
there is always the v8 conversion aswell

there is a company that advertisese in PPC and retro cars that do a full kit for XE conversions into a mini.
so yes, very doable.
if dar looks on this thread he might put some pictures he has of the one he has had on his drive. it was only an 8v but you can see there is room for a 16v easily.
and it wasn't a gt shell like the one in the pic with the v8 in.

a couple of years ago i seen two minis at a show one with a lancia delta engine and a escort cossie engine

sorry but i may not have made myself clear but a calibra 2ltr redtop engine would fit in a mini?
