Bcos i cant reach in to push the little opening paddle thing ! Pls can some1 show me waht they@ve done , with an explanation , diagram or even a picture of their work !
Also second question , how muh do you think the bill will be , for old arches cut out and 2 new arches welded in, and the bonnet extension? Thanx for all your help, Sam[/b]
your having work done without finding out how much its gonna be first?? are you mad. as for the bad boy problem most people hack a bit out of the grill

Well it hasnt gone yet, and my gf is paying , just wants to know an estimate for now. Does the grill thing work on a mk2 ? Thanx
just call the place your sending it to for an estimate (that they should have given you before doing the work, otherwise they can screw you into the floor for stuff thats not needed...
remove the second latch from the bonnet, so that when you pull the lever inside the bonnet will open straight away. This isnt safe so fit bonnet pins aswell, this will keep the bonnet closed when you hit 179mph, but by keeping the original catch will stop thieving toe-rags stealing you turbo and dunp valve

as said by chris better to remove catch but if you do then DEFINETLY fit bonnet pins. i learnt the hard way.

if you feel bonnet pins will ruin ya stylin then fit some sort of solenoid but iv'e yet to see anyone thats done this.

just wrap some wire around the catch and make it so it runs threw the boonet at the front and tuks above ur light so when u pop the bonnet the wire is there u just pull n pull bonnet up then it opens.no removing of parts required.also i posted pics up ages ago hope it still works.
