View Full Version : Wheel fitment
I've been searching through the forum but cant find what i need to know. I'm going to buy some Team Dynamic Pro Race 2s in 15" et45. They are 7.0 x 15, will have 195/45 profile tyres. Will this be ok? Im lowered about 40mm.
Thanks for any help in advance.
They will probably rub the outer arch slightly.

depends how many obese friends you have in the back
should be fine on 45 profile tyres, unless you take Mr Blobby to the airport.

7" wide rims on et45 will stick out the same as a set of 6.5" rims on ET38
and im pretty sure et38's will scrape on most hatches even with mild lowering, so i'd advise trying to get narrower wheels
Ok thanks, im looking for some black alloys, wanted 5 spokes but dont think im gonna have much luck. Does anyone have any wheel suggestions?
^ Could some normal ones powder coated?
Team Dynamics Megastar are nice - but not a great style for 15" IMO due to the large rim.
If you got the money, try getting hold of some Lenso/5Zigen/Tenzo-R wheels....
^ I cant really go much over ?500 atm, and i cant save for longer because i really need new tyres, lucky not to get points for them when i got pulled today.
The pro race 2s would have 195/45/15 tyres on them. I dont see how i could have these tyres on another wheel and not rub? Surely the width would be the same due to tyres?
If the tyre is 195/45/15 on either a 7x15 or 6.5x15 would the width actually be different or am i missing the point?
Team dynamic mirage look good, they are 6.5x15. Dont come in black but i could get them refurbed in the future.
Will 6.5x15 with et 45/49 wheels be ok? Or is 6.5 still too wide?
Any wheel that i like with the right fitment is too expensive! I cant go over ?550, anyone have any suggestions?
Wheels i like:
Team dynamic pro race 2s - 7x15 et45
Team dynamic miraga - 6.5x15 et45/49

If it rubs , bring out the finest tool known to man - the angle grinder . Give em a shave ( TO THE WELD SPOTS AND NO MORE ) ,take off any sharp edging and slap a brushful of white pinstripe seal on the wound.........wait till dry then sand , prime and spray....
I dont know how many Novaloafers have had to do this but , I,ll bet theres a few . The other option is to have the arches rolled , but if like my old Nova most of the Novas nowaday the arches are now getting aged.........
End of sermonn.
Thanks for the reply, was hoping i wouldnt need to do any arch mods. That would mean more money to buy an angle grinder
Ive decided to pay up and get compomotive MOs. Going to get 6x15, et49? Can anyone confirm that is the right offset, i also assume there wont be any arch cutting needed?
Thanks
Anyone? Going to order them tonight, just wanted to check that they will fit, as its alot of money to find out they are wrong?
6x15 with offset of 49mm? 195/45/15 tyres?
Thats the puppy  6 x 15 et 49 should have your nova handling nicely with almost no scrubbing
Nice, will have to get some pics of my baby up once ive got them :)
Thanks
