If youre bosses tried to change your contract , adding to your responsibilites , and virtually making it impossible for you to contest it , would you tell em to stuff it ..?
Mine are doing just that.
So on the 28th of this month , I,m gonna do it . This means I,ve gotta get employed elsewhere in a month.
I,ve looked at the legal side of things on the ACAS website , but it seems pointless to try to argue with my current employers as they will use the line management changes that affect me , meaning my new boss , as an excuse for deformation of character . Truth is this new boss of mine is a crafty bloke , who,ll off load tons of work onto me , take all the credit and make me work crappy hours. Hes so far up the bosses , that everything he says becomes law . Hes even looking into other departments and running to the top man and grassing. I hate brown noses. All I can say is may the fleas of a thousand camels infest his a***hole .
I think all persons should take a good look at the ACAS site and print its advise . You never know when you may need it.
There are some shadey employers out there people.
So stuff em it is .
wish me luck in my search.

write all your jobs you have to do on a bit of paper crunch it up then ram it up his arse. If you let them get away with it then they'll unload more work on too you.
is it more work of the same that you do, or diferent work being put on you??
if its different work then techically its a bit worng, but at the same time its handy to diversify lol
if its the same, then there is fook all you can do bar say no and get a slapping lol

Its more. It also includes probably becoming a liscencee , requiring me to attend ruggger matches and such serving alcohol till the wee hours. I dont wanna do it so they can look elsewhere for a mug. Seems to be that if youre a loyal worker you get shat on , but those who do nowt get away with murder.
Looks as tho I ,ll be back in a factory somewhere..one thing that will be nice tho , is not having to work all hours , with an overtime rate that is basic , no matter the duration or day.
No more caretaking.
end of sermonn.
You do know that they cannot change your employment contract without your approval don't you? The terms in your contract are binding, if they wish to amend them, you need to approve it. If not, they ar breaching your contract and are, therefore, breaking the law
If they do change it, you could sue them for breach of contract. :)

Yeah , I know , but the only thing thats going to be changed on my contract is the line manager . Therefore in print I have assured that no such problems have arisen between both myself and the new guy ( although I cant stand him - I,m not alone on this either ,and he,ll make life hell cos he never gets his hands dirty ) and if I were to contest this , it would be personal and a deformation of character-that was the reply. I have no proof of this mans dodgy character , but this is,nt the first time he has behaved in such a manner as ratting to the boss . In fact his last position , were glad rid off him when he left...
Believe me - I do certainly believe that thi guy has stirred things up immensly ( other managers have informed me ) and the only way I can fight this is with the plea of Variation of contract , or Constructive dismissal. These pleas will be challenged and placed on my working record ( as I,m ex civil service - I wanna clean sheet for future employment ) so therefore it just isnt worth the stress or hassel - I,m jacking it in. Its also a fact that the school I work at has never lost any case no matter the facts - stinking rich and ignorance goes hand in hand...........
Well, if that is the way you want to deal with it then that is up to you..ever thought of a Compromise Agreement? Both of you win in that situation, instead of you just jacking it in.

It has crossed my mind....I will see how my employers react to my notice. i would like to be as amicable as possible , but this guy has caused so much trouble I think no matter the outcome , working with him will be unbearable.
This aside , the hours really mess my private life and to be honest , the pay is feeble. In short I do need a job that leaves my weekends free , and overtime to be optional and paid correctively.
I suppose pride is also at stake here, nows the time to swallow it and perhaps move on...
I will however , keep an open mind on what is returned to me...
