Re-Formatted the pc

I was running PC-Cillin 2002 which was great in my books... easy to turn off for fast transfer's on msn and easy to update...

Just wondering if anyone knows any good firewalls? Easy to update? Easy to turn off? And most important that are free lol

nortons good - live update etc...updates as soon as you log on.

Ive got norton 2005 - takes feckin ages to load though when you boot up.

get an old pc. mine is a pentium 1 200 mhz with 64mb ram and a 3gb hard disk two network cards.

Outpost runs on your client machine and if your an xp user it can be modified by c derivative programming, with independant headless linux boxes this is much harder to do.

just makes network life a little more secure. especially if hosting servers on a DMZ or running load balancing.
