Drilled Airbox??

I was just reading a post in General Chat about drilling air boxes. The chap reckons it sounds better and he feels it gives him more acceleration increase, but. . . can this be done on a 1.2 carb nova or is it just the injection?? cheers nobby :D

i sliced the living daylights out of my 1.2 filter housing beofre i got rid of it over a year ago and i can safely say it made NO difference whatso ever.

it DOES make a difference on the 1.6 and 1.4 MPI engiens as they have a restrictive filter setup due to their increased capacity

i cut all around the air pan on mine so that the filter could be seen all the way round and was held in place by the trimmed down lid of the old air pan. it sounded noisier but coughed and splutteded all the time as it was spi.
