Which Alternator X14XE Conversion

Do i need to change the alternator when doing the X14XE conversion?

It's a non aircon model, slightly concerned to whether it will fit?

If so do i just change it to a v-belt pulley running crank sensor and GSi Alternator??

You can use either the V or Narrow belt alternators on the small block 16v's. Whichever is easiest for you.

i ran a polyvee belt and the alternator pulley was about 1mm away from the chassis leg and it uesd to scrape on cornering with TAS mounts

i swapped it out for a stnadard V-Belt model and used a nova sri bottom pulley, however the alternator then needed its pulley spaced over slightly so it ran streight

I ran the wide belt and it never scrubbed on a 16 16v
