you can use any solanoid as it doesnt have to be strong. to wire it up would be simple. just run a live to the solanoid the have a switch on the underside of the bonnet aswell to operate the solanoid. then you just pull the bonnet catch as normal, pull up the bonnet to get to switch, press the switch and safety catch released

I cut a hole in my grill, just low enough so you can't see it when the bonnet is closed. Works perfect.

if u look at my old nova in the feature i had quad lamps wiv a bb and i just didnt mesh the grille ...easy just to shift the catch across 1ce popped ..rather expensive way to do it but looks ace! or just cut a fake air intake hole leading to ur catch  itll look spiffy

all 4 of my bonnet pins are needed otherwise the bonnet would fly off ;)

no hinges... they weigh too much!

when every few grams counts, then its not really :P

mines the same as mikes, 4 pins on bonnet, 4 on the bootlid and 2 per bumper.

ally pins weigh fook all compared to solid steel hinges etc, plus tis far easier to work on the car with no bonnet in the way atall
