i would imagine its an earth for somethin
black wires on novas are ign switched lives... so its a switch power for something ;)
browns are earths
and reds are perm lives..
if the rain clears a little later i'll go and take a look for you

thats what i was hoping. it'll do for me switched live for the ecu then
test it with a multimeter first!!!!
there is one wire on the 1.0 loom that is a resisitor and the voltage on it drops to something like 6volts when cranking.... so make sure its a 12V all the time job ;)

on mine that's running to the starter.
hope it helps

hope it helpsyou sure your not mixing it up with the bigger black and red one as that goes to the starter
nope, it's going to the starter as well as the thicker pair.
no idea why though.

might be some sort of relay feed so that you cant operate the starter once the engines running?

the wire IS the resistor mate
