1.6 problems.....

Hey ppl plz help me out got a problem.. putting a 1.6 sv astra engine in my NOVA on a j plate getting rid of the rubbish 1 liter. Every 1 has told me it will fit no problem but thats not the case. Engine is in place but the gear linckage is hitting against the stearing cloumb rack it doesnt have enough clearence. i'm out by 2 inch at least.

I dont want 2 have 2 move all the engine mounts forward, is this a common problem and if so whats the quickest way around it.
