door handles off?

hi, how do i get my door handles of so i can getr them colour coded?? and wot else shud i get done while i'am at it?? my cars a K reg 1.2i

They bolt thru and held on by a couple of nuts on the inside of the door (which you can access by removing the door trim). IIRC the control wire on the handle takes a bit of shimmying to get off, its almost an S shape and held in by a plastic clip.

Haynes manual describes it quite well, but don't have it to hand to refer to at the mo...

is it a mk1 or mk2?

if its a mk2 i would also colour code the boot grab handle (thaths if you stil have one)

while its off to i would also smooth out the lock!

If its Mk2 the odd dash bit can look good too, and the door card armrests

yea it is a mk2, how do i get that bit of then mate i havent gota clue (1st nova) :oops: and wich mirrors suit novas beta DTM Cups Or M3s, or wot

inside the boot u have a trim panel.. pop this off and you will find four 8mm nuts. when u take these off with a little tug the grip rail shud come off.

as for interior handles they r screwed to the doorcards if you look close enough you will see them.

and the best mirrors for a nova imo are colour coded nova mirrors :lol:

its white for now i was Thinkin about doin it Vauxhall mistral grey(i think that show u spell it)and no not yet i've only had it 5days and my dog chewd tha feck outa ma digi cam

And watch out for the nuts on the rear handle, the ones by the rear wiper motor can be a pain to get to... thats if you're lucky enough to have a rear windscreen wiper!

i think mexico is brighter and they say that it doesnt fade as easy as flame red which is shat for doing that!

Nope, your thinking of Carmine red. Mexico is darker, much nicer deeper colour - halfway between flame red and the burgundy/brown of Nick's :lol:
