Hi Am fairly new to novas, i was just wundering if i can fit a pair of gsi calipers and discs straight onto my car or do i have to modify them in any way??
Thanx
Yes you can, they fit straight on. Just remember that the calipers are handed and the bleed nipple points upwards.
and dontforget to bleed the system
thanks, do u think it wud b worth buyin all the breaks n stuff brand new bcuz the local scrappys near me are pants :(
get the calipers from a scrappy. but discs and pads should be new.
cheers matey i'l try my local scappys this week :D
Might also be worth a look on ebay, quite often find GTE/GSi calipers on there (as well as Astra/Cav items)
oh rite i didnt no tht astra and cavvy breaks wud fit
Depending on the wheel size they will (iirc the ATE calipers need 14/15"+...?)

if you have 14*5.5 or bigger wheels the will fit.

i wouldn't waste time and money on a nova gsi brake conversion.
go for 2.0 16v 256mm, a lot better and just the same to fit.
ant they abit big for a 1.2 tho?
it doesnt matter as longs as it stops you!

you can still drive fast in a 1.2 (might take you longer to get there) so bigger brakes can only be good. It feels safer also.
ooo im liking this idea, so i jus go 2 say halfordss and buy some discs and pads for a calibra 2.0 16v right and put them straight onto my nova? is that right or am i just being a dumb fcuker? and obvioulsy i woudl need the calipers aswell lol :?
you need the calipers. but the rest was right

oh, and stainless lines?
a lot better than me mates 2ltr ones on his SRi, although they are a standard set up???
