Hi Am fairly new to novas, i was just wundering if i can fit a pair of gsi calipers and discs straight onto my car or do i have to modify them in any way??

Yes you can, they fit straight on. Just remember that the calipers are handed and the bleed nipple points upwards.

thanks, do u think it wud b worth buyin all the breaks n stuff brand new bcuz the local scrappys near me are pants :(

get the calipers from a scrappy. but discs and pads should be new.

Might also be worth a look on ebay, quite often find GTE/GSi calipers on there (as well as Astra/Cav items)

Depending on the wheel size they will (iirc the ATE calipers need 14/15"+...?)

if you have 14*5.5 or bigger wheels the will fit.

i wouldn't waste time and money on a nova gsi brake conversion.

go for 2.0 16v 256mm, a lot better and just the same to fit.

you can still drive fast in a 1.2 (might take you longer to get there) so bigger brakes can only be good. It feels safer also.

ooo im liking this idea, so i jus go 2 say halfordss and buy some discs and pads for a calibra 2.0 16v right and put them straight onto my nova? is that right or am i just being a dumb fcuker? and obvioulsy i woudl need the calipers aswell lol :?

make sure they are 4 x 100 stud arrangment.

hey, got 1.6 GSi breaks, and they're bloody good for under ?50! calipers that were reconned and brembo pads + disc that were new!

oh, and stainless lines?

a lot better than me mates 2ltr ones on his SRi, although they are a standard set up???
