Sounds stupid but are you using the right rated fuse?

Checked the cables? Its not shorting out anywhere is it?

well i have brought a new wiring kit 2 the 1 which was already in the car so the wires r ok but i did think it wasa the fuse but have used fuses rangin from 10-30 and still all blow (or were u talkin about the wiring kit fuse?)

could be a short in the amp its self!

im assuming that were talking about the fuse in the amp, not the B+ wire to the amp.

are you saying that the fuse has blown on this amp and another amp that youve tested?

yep has blown the fuses in the amps.....very unlikely that both amps r busted....but yea i am talking bout those fuses not the b+

should be wired like this...

Batt - + on amp
Blue wire/remote on headunit to Rem on amp
Earch on amp to car body..

is that how you got it, cos i can't really understand what you put on how you wired it :?

Edit : re-read post, looks like you have done that, but make sure you have connected then to the amp the correct way, sounds stupid i no, but you never know

also, could have a short on one of the wires

as far as i can see it can only be one of three possible problems then.

1. there is a fault within the speaker(a loose connection of some sort and the + & - wires are either touching together or touching something else, thus shorting the curcuit and blowing the fuse which has been placed there should situations like this occur!)

2. the amp earth is faulty(not earthed properly possibly due to the painted surface its fastened to or incorrect wire guage, however this may blow the fue in the B+ wire too)

3. the gain is set too high and the fuse blowing is similar to a thermal cut out (turn down the gain etc...)

Ant had problems with my first vibe - was a doddle to fix - check the following :

Using a correct wiring kit , make sure all contacts are tight to the vibe . When connected to the switching wire ( blue ) also make sure your contacts to be good and tight . The earth Must be the problem . Scrape paint off , and bind it to the cars body surface using a self tapping screw .
If you still have problems go to Halfords on Rope walk ( i know you live in the same town as me as we,ve corresponded in the past ) - forget the shop on London road - he,ll skin you alive . Remeber Halfords are a Vibe dealer - they,ll test it for you - for free.
Enjoy the Vibes - they are impressive . These units can kick it , but need to be tuned in properly . Once running , go somewhere away from home - (folks will take note on the system you have - speshlly kids who pinch ...) to sound test , using music you normally enjoy , turn the crossover about half the way up and the volume 3 quarters - make sure the degree is at 0 - fiddle till your ears stop bleeding .
Good luck .
