Ok Peeps.
I'm seriously considerin a set of 16's or 17's as soon as I get the money together. What arch mods will I need to do ,what's the best offset to go for(49 I think?) and what size (width, height etc) of tyre will fit easiest.Basically It's a J plate Sri,my first car and I really wanna go to town on the mods over the next year.So rite now I need to now absolutely everything i need for it to pass an Mot and be the bestest in the world Rah Rah Rah!!

I think 16's with a 35mm drop all round would look better than 17's. It's a personnal choice at the end of the day.
The advice cossieking has given you is good refrence.

Nooooooooooooo! you don't want spacers.
you want an offset 45-49mm, and widt 6.5 or 7.0, mine are 7 and et45, et45 supposed to be better for clearing the shockers on 17s.
and easier to find et45 wheels.
want to roll arches flat at back big hammer to inner arch if catches, maybe bump stops.
front- flare out all the front arches, or trim and reshape, like i did, hassle all the time! mine is lowered 40mm.

Nice when they`re on but take a lot of fitting (especially dropped 40 or 60) mine measure 8 inch across on a 205/40/17 tyre so if you`re going for a thinner wheel the tyre dimensions will be different? Also they`re a lot more sensitive to bad camber on the fronts (you fuck the camber up when you drop it) so if it`s low sort that out first. I`ve run out of money to finnish mine at the mo, needs the Magnum front arches and a respray, need to get it sorted for summer!!!!
