nova mk2 electric window switches onto mk1 loom?

can this be done? reason why im asking is because im fed up of my car kicking about the driveway and not progressing any further :( so thought i could put in my mk1 loom thru the doors and car, ready for when i get some switches...i know the mk1 loom has 5 wiresfor the window switches, and i know the mk2 ones DO light up, will this make a difference?

may take u up on that yet bud, would spoil the mk2 overhaul inside a bit, but would at least allow me to ditch the winders for now and knock up a switch bank
