Anyone use their LET nova over winter? is it ok to drive aslong as you keep off boost?
I want to change the engine in mine, but it is actually mean as my winter car, so dont want to have too cars that are useless in winter?
Cheers
Chris
just drive to the conditions.... like you would in any car
Yup, no problem running a turbo in winter, just let it warm up properly before you rag it... as you would with any car really. Plenty of other turbo cars work fine in winter, can\'t see a nova LET being any different. Certainly wouldn\'t have thought it\'d be useless.

thanks for the input, a lot of people said it would spin uncontrollably, what car doesnt if your at the top of the rev range in snow
I wouldn't use any Nova in the winter.. lol
Come summer it'll be a mix of rust and holes!!

I bought it as a winter car so will have to :)
holes will just help with the weight saving :)
When mine was on the road (ages ago now  ) I used it during winter all the time as couldn't insure two cars, had no problems really.

i'll have a look later... i've used them for miles and miles on mway at 80+ bit noisy and made my 1.4sr top out at 90
from experience ive found the turbos run better in the cold weather, aslong as u let them warm up nicely before u start putting your foot down.

Do what I now do put it up for the winter.I tax it for 6 months then put it away. Less chance of rot and bumping it. Get a shitter for winter. Itll drive no probs but whats the piont. Used to get on my nerves - no traction
