hey...
justgot my mitts on a reconned 1.6gsi... gunna trunk it in the nova soon just tinkerin with the idea of turboin the lump before putting it in... seen a few turbo'd 1.6 8v but none of them seem to be running to much power... im looking for about 150bhp at the wheels... what sort of spec am i looking at needing?

probably need fully uprated bottom end, low compression pistons, etc etc etc
then headwork, high torque cam, turbo, etc etc etc

????'s maybe can probs save my self a bit as ive got access to alot of tools and can do all the putting together my self im also mech engineer n fab and welder so can make manifolds and assortmants my self just need bit of advice...
really need to know were i can source sum low comp pistons...
and what spec i may need...
if you know what your doing, a guy on mig sell's turbo kits, includes turbo, manifold, dump valve, wastegate etc etc
just need intercooler and boost pipes for it

maybe baxter would know more about this as he started to turbo his 1300, then i believe he was gonna do a 1600 but dumped the idea and went LET lol
As for your question about the GT Turbo charger going on it may do but as i said Baxter will probably know more as that is what he was using on his car

Here mate take a look at my mates feature,but i warn you its NOT going to be cheep to do it properly and get the sort of relighabel power he has in this car,its runing aprox 175/182 bhp from 7psi low boost to over 14psi max without killing it.
