Nova XE help please!

Hiya peeps can anyone help me out ive jus bought an XE`d nova and its got no pipe from the air-flow meter to the filter so ive created my own an borrowed a type-r ram-air filter from a mate but it sucks too much air in an flat spots really bad wen drivin in traffic/ round town, its fine once youre goin so i reckon im gonna get a standard pipe an air-box with a decent panel filter, but wot airbox do i nee, ie from which car do i need one from so it will fit in the dinky ebgine bay of a nova lol, was thinkin along the lines of one from a mk2 or 3 astra but im completely guessin on that one, any help would be appreciated peeps cheers!!

nothing wrong with filter setup it just needs the breather mod

Whats the breather mod then mate, i think ive heard summat about this u put a couple of holes in something jus inside the cam cover, or am i barking up the wrong tree, pls help peeps im gettin well annoyed its splutterin really badly settin off from stationary ie traffic lights, but then fine once im movin!!!!
