Looks for a late mk2 1.2i shell, there are loads of them about, Spins and Trips etc.
You might find a good shell.

Then turn that into a gsi.

Mint gsi go for stupid money, might aswell buy a 1.2 and fit the 1.6 lump. Then ull know the history and be proud of doing it urself.

i just think 1800 is a rediculous price id rather find a mint standard one which is what i am after if i can find one i wnt spend more than about 1200 but even for that it would have to be bloody worth it

I personally went down the 1.0l route, found myself a nice E reg nova With a shit paint job but bloody decent shell, I've never looked back.

if you pay ?1200 for a mint gsi then good luck with it, prove everyone wrong, but if you bought one for ?1800, then you would know it would be a true minter, not a pile of thrashed poop with more filler than metal :D

dan obtained a mint, and i do mean mint, one dink but not paint damage, 1.2 for ?100 (iirc) ok its a 1.2 but conversions arent exactly hard lol.

I woldnt spend more than ?500 on any Nova regardless of what it was nowadays.

Paid ?400 iirc for my Corsa GSi 1995 M reg and the shell is immaculate just needed the speed sensor changing, you lot are on a different planet, should have a look in the real world :!:

think you need to get in the real world, sold my yellow gsi tonight for 1800 and the lad thort it was a bargain, and it was, wanted more really but hey.

Not knocking you for selling it but the guy's an idiot for buying it, Havent seen your car so dont know what spec it was but have bought XE Nova's for ?500 with tax and test on them which to me is about the limit on any nova unless its something very special.

I make my living out of buying cars at the right money, and i survive doing it so i guess i am in the real world.

Have given you two examples of cars i have bought for sensible money but if you want me to go on then i could sit here all night.
