Been watching the Dawn/Day/Night of the dead films on tv the last few nights and I just realised that The GORILLAZ have sampled big sections off of the film score...
IE - The 2nd film (the one in the shopping mall) - when the guys are stealing the trucks to baracade the doors, in the depot whilst they hotwire them (and in other parts of the film), theres a oboe that plays a low rythm - thats on the 1st track on the new album...
In the one where they are in the caverns (on last night), the start when they land in the village and the guy with the meghaphone shouts - "HELLO - is anybody there...HELLO...IS anybody there..." - thats the star of the mental track (think its the last track) on the 1st album...
Also - think Murdochs Winnabago is one of them in the underground cave...mind you aint he a zombie anyway???
Any one else know any others...
