Right....thought i'd try and get some "winter wheels" on so i could do a lil bit of work on my rims that are on the car and maybe a slight colour change.

My Girlfriend had an SR and an SRi before she went and got her 106GTi and happened to have the 14" 3 spoke standard alloys in the garage going FOC!

now i know they would fit the rears ok, thats not a problem so i thought i'd start on the front. only to find they scrap the bottom of the Cav GSi calipers...am i right in thinking that you should be able to fit 14"s over these? or is it the Alloys that you cant fit?

They wont fit over 256mm calipers.
You need at least 5.5J 14s, IIRC all the nova steel wheels i have had are 5J 14s, so they will catch the caliper.
Just get two steel wheels from a cav in a scrappy and use them if they are just for running around on.
