5 speed box

anyone know what the best 5 speed box would b to put on my 1200 nova with not much hassle

it would be the same amount off hassle to fit and 5 speed box matey

not to sure which ratio box would be best , prob a sr one


but to do it you will have too


jack car up and remove wheels
remove drivshafts
undo clutch cabel ,reverse light switch,
undo gear linckage
support engine with a trolly jack
undo all g/boxbolts a little
undo g/box mounts and then fully remove g/box bolts
remove g/box
check clutch condition and replace if needed
re-fit g/box in reverse order


if you car was a 4speed car you will have to mod the gear lever

to do this remove the boot ,and hacksaw the nobble of from the right hand side (white plastic bit) tthis will enable your stick to go to the 5th postion

its a nice jet but a non existent GM gearbox lol.

F13CR is your best bet.

id say the f13 or even the f10 if you cant get the f13, will do the job just fine.
