need as much info as anyone can find about the "vauxhall nova gte" (ie when it started in production all spec (standard spec that is guys) and any other information you can find on it) coz iv searched the net and all i can find is stuff about modded gte's and iv got a collage paper to do!!!! please help guys thx alex

Judging by most college courses these days it probably is... lol
i would have thought you would run out of things quickly to say about a nova gte for a college paper. why not expand into the development of the nova in motorsport i.e the nova sport,homolgation issues,famous drivers early in their careers like colin mcrae etc all drove these.

Yeah whereas if you would of completed your paper on just "Novas" without specific models you would have loads to write about.

you should scan it for him, or even send him it if youve finished with it.
but i still think he could write pages of information if he was to write about something less specific.
We're making the assumption the entire project is about the GTE.... he could just be writing about something else and referring to the GTE, as Vauxhall's sporty hatch and comparing it to others of the time for example...

i hope that wasnt a dig at my dislexia stuart? :lol: , richard f**king branson is dislexic is he a friggin chav? - right well nor am i, iv worked for the past 4 years in bloody call centres and decided there's f**k all in this sh*te c*ntry for me - so i decided to go back to collage and get a qualification in engineering, joinery and mechanics, mabey i wont end up like the rest of us rotting in a seat with a headset on with "customers" screaming down the phone at us.....
anyway yes its about the gte and how it changed hot hatch's. need genral spec and how it related to its rivals i had already done most of the paper but unfortunatly the tw*ts at stokki collage del'd it. basicaly i have no way of accesing anything from collage because most pages with nova written in them also contain abusive shite suprisingly?!?! and obviously the collage network wont allow that - f**k knows how i managed to get on novaload thats - no better (i dont usually swear that much im just a bit f**ked off today as my car got broken into and my dad just ignored the car alarm screaming out of the garage)

i know what you mean but it pisses me off cos i got moved from skool 2 skool so it never got sorted makes me look like a fooking prik, its half the reson iv gon back to collage - so i can do "key skills" as they now call it

Try using www.cbrowse.com or www.xenzo.com!

But every now and then you will lose the frameset and have to just reload the cbrowse / xenzo site.
www.guardster.com is also pretty good but sometimes has lots of popup ads.
IMO though if you want to talk about a car thats had an impact on the "hot hatch" market, you'd be better off concentrating on the Astra rather than the Nova

going on from razors comment of astras making an impact, id say the pug 205 and ren clio made a massive impact on the HH "culture" and in recent years the CTR
what is the paper sepcifically about? something thats caused a big influence in industry/culture?
personally i think the leaders in the way hot hatches came about are the original hot hatch brat pack consisting of the mk1 golf gti,mk1 astra gte and the escort xr3i although things got more refined as we moved through years the hot hatch evolved into as stated above the pug 205 gti,nova gte,astra gsi,escort cossie etc until what we have today as hot hatches but i would say are more watered down versions of the originals due to emission controls,safety requirements etc.
the mk1 golf gti tends to be crowned as the original hot hatch but in reality vauxhall and talbot got there first in the late 70`s with the chevette hsr and the lotus sunbeam both of which are awesome cars but not as widely recognised as being the original hot hatches as golf coined the now imfamous gti term :)

But what if he has chosen specifically to do it on GTE's, shouldnt we try and help our fellow novaload member :lol:
I dont really fancy doing the work for you, but if i get 5 minutes besides replying to these messages, then I will have a look for some sites :)

(they moved me from skool to school because i was living in a hospital for 3 (sorry three) years not that it matters eh!
