Ive just bought a dizzy and gte cam for my 1.2 carb, I've got the suitable coil, but last night I thought what about the vacuum advance that I need for my weber carb? What have others done when running twin webers on gte's/gsi's?
Are all bosch dizzy's the same for example on 1.4sr's etc?
the gte "dizzy" isnt a proper dizzy and wont work without the GTE ecu to run it, and then you wont really be able to adjsut the timing.
ignore the vac advance. just bung it off.
the 1400 bosch dizzy with coil and amplifier are whats needed.

wat i did to avoid problems wen i fitted a 1.4 sri engine into my 1.2 carb .i used the lucas dizzy from my 1.2 and swapped the drive ends over from the 1.4 dizzy and it works a treat. you are best to fid somwere for ur vacume pipe to go as wen its one the road and you give it some,it wont advance the timing and wont go aswell ..i ran my 1.4 on a 1.2 carb
