hey ppl, jst wondering has anyone seen a matt black or matt gunmetal nova before? if so does it look anygood?

i've not seen a matt blck nova before but there is a matt black fez round here. TBH it just looks like he couldn't be bothered to finish the job.

Umm there is some out there.

Chips mid engine rear drive was.

think with matt black is you cant lacquer it and therefore it leaves if prone to stone chips.

The lacquer makes it glossy!

You cant really get matt gunmetal which is metalic and wouldnt really work if the paint was flat and dull.

Like scott says - just looks like someone couldnt be arsed finishing rhe job.

There was a matt black viva (I think, either that or a Chevette - ok it was a while ago!!) in Total Vauxhall once... IMO it just looked shabby, but that was the intention I think.

Stuff the matt black, paint it Mexico Red :wink:

you can get a satin finish laquer that will give it that matt appearence but increased protection and wont look totally gash.

Sorry to go off topic but that pick up looks sweet.. i might just buy another nova to do a pickup side project.
