1.3sr to 1.8 160bhp.. Engine mount help.

hi people,

im in the process of fitting a 1.8 8v into my nova that we have pushed upto 160bhp. we are useing the guide to fit a 2.0 8v that we got from valvers. we lowered the front off-side(right) mount like it said by 1.5inch, it then said to use the original engine mount off the 1.3 lump but the engine mount does not fit onto the 1.8 lump and the mount from the 1.8 pushes the engine too far to the left.

If anyone know how you need to mod the mount or what you need to do to get the engine to fit it would be really helpful as im waiting to get the car back on the road.

Im useing the F16 box and have got some driveshafts off the Nova GTE which are 22 splined.

i think you need the mk2 astra 2lt mount (metal part) an then the nova rubber thats if youve lowered the mount on the car.

Why do you need the astra 2L mount? :?:

So the engine sit in the right place it can be any Mk2 astra with a 1.8 / 2.0 8v or 2.0 16v will do.

cause the bolt pattern on the 1.8/2.0 block is different from the small block nova engines

cheers people. Went to a scrappy and got a off-side engine mount off a mk2 astra 2.0 GTE. The mount fits like a glove. All thats left to do now is apply the flip paint and shes done :D .
