i know where it is but :infinity: this place gets more views if i did gt the wings what would i have to do about the rear coz 5 doors archs r round...........
from mk1 to mk2 the rear just needs the bumper. Dont think the mk2 bumper is different from 3 to 5 door - think its the same part?
for front conversion you'll need -
2 x wings
2 x mk2 indicators
2 x mk2 lights
1 x mk2 grill
1 x mk2 bumper (get gsi one - its beefier)
1 x mk2 carrier bar and irons for bumper
1 x tube of mastik to refit wings on
you'll also probably need a new set of side indicators because youre bound to bugger the ones on the mk1 wings (the clips smnap easily). Just get a set of oval ones - plenty kicking about on ebay.
oh and screws from mk1 will fit mk2 - mainly 10mm socket - except carriage bar and irons which I think are 12mm.

cheers mate but then still leave the problem of havin square stylee arches on the front and not on the back.....
the only way to sort that is to get a 3 door I'm afraid.
or weld yer rear doors up and graft on a rear arch - cheaper to get a 3 door though

Yeah they did, I was confused as to the square arch comment above, thinking "why would he have square arches, just get them from another 5dr" lol
Have a look on sel-imperial, they'll list the parts.
There is actually another way if you dont fancy having to spray up some new wings, but id like to add that this was done by the PREVIOUS owner of my car, and seeing as shes being stripped for track use I cant be arsed to sort it.
All they did was extend the grill over to cover the gap left by the smaller indicators, and the indicators themselves are actually chopped down MK1 ones.
Highly dodgy, but if done properly i guess its one way around it (one thing i did do was take the indicators out and seal the bottom of the lenses as the twat had just left them open
