any idea the uprated osram bulbs that halfrauds are punting are any good? their claiming 50 and 100% brighter, i'm a bit sceptical of it. but living in a place where street lighting is a novalty i'm looking for anything to improve night driving.

Hmmmm. I've tried lots of bulbs, and IMO anything from halfrauds is generally crap! I know everybody says it, but in terms of bulbs I found it to be true lol

Also had some max power ones once which were very reflective, so handy for seeing road signs and speed cameras etc from miles away but not exactly bright... although they put a lot of light out, it was quite "dark".

If you want decent bulbs get PIAA. Although they're expensive they really are worth it. I've had them on both novas, and even have some 8000k low beam and 6500k high beam ones on the celica at the moment.

I've got some old PIAA H4's lying about that I had on my saloon which put out a lot of light, and still only draw 55/60W. If I can find them I may be persuaded to part with them for a small fee
