as my nova is almost dead and is no longer road legal due to being in an extremly bad state and almost dead, its time for it to be scraped, i cant even sell it, and with the project SR in bed for the winter and only half finished with no tax or mot, theres no chance of using that, but trust me, itll be worth the wait once its finished, itll be a stunner!

ive got my eye on either a mk1 punto, mk5 escort, fiesta, renault 19 or clio, or a corsa, or, if i can find one for sale, either a mk1 1.3 sr or mk2 1.4 sr!

dont really know, i know this is a nova said so the obvious will be said, but i need summit newer, safer, more reliable and not so old, im actually considering a corsa, what what do you think?

cheerz!

Get a diesel if it is a run about. Maybe a corsa turbo diesel or maybe a astra.

sorry, even with the sh!te the government has caused at the mo with all this petrol stuff, no way would i get a diesel!

my missus' mom is selling her 5 door 1.5d, shes keeps saying i should buy it, but no thanks, no diesels, no 5 doors!

im deffo considering the old shape corsa, got a few ideas for one, plus, doesnt matter what engine it has as im gonna get my mechanic to drop in a 1.4 16v, might be a big job though!

buy what you want, its your money, why should you care what others think? lol

for the record, diesels are much better for day to day driving than a petrol, and the only "good" time for a petrol is in a high performance car.....

True; and although derv is/will be more expensive than petrol, you do get better mpg, and they tend to be cheaper insurance.

How about a pug derv? 306 durbo?

I'm considering a td something or other, but there's no way in hell i'd get a 1.5 diesel-they're flat as bastards!! Even the 1.7 diesels are! Imo, renault 19's aren't bad and they're quite cheap-not sure how reliable they are though.

I say get a nice cheep turbo diesel pug 205,there welll cheep and also have same sort of perfomance as a 1.4 SR(or even slightly better then)

Even affter the Pug van getting wrote off i would still have another, yws the frech idea of car electrics is a joke but the engines are made to last fro ever...
